The AAAS Big Data Affinity Group was created in 2013 in response to growing interest in data science and its impact in fields such as energy, medicine, security, social science, and ethics.
Our group aims to foster a community of data science users and advocates at the intersection of technology and policy across federal agencies. We organize programs and events for current and alumni AAAS Science and Technology Policy Fellows, focusing on the application of big data initiatives, methods, and policies in government, industry and academia.
